Established in the year 1996, with English for degree courses as compulsory and optional subject for B.A. /B.Sc. /B.Com., it mainly focuses on the exposure for the study of world’s finest literature in context with aesthetic, historic, cultural etc. aspects. The department faculty consists of three members. The teachers strive for building various competencies among the students. Extra-curricular activities plays a vital role for the development of the students. In addition to degree courses, the department also offers certificate course in Amolak Spoken English Course and Amolak Competitive Guidance Cell. The department frequently invites the eminent scholars from surrounding vicinity for guest lectures to boost up the students interest. The faculty is prominently using ICT to magnify the teaching learning process. The department is encouraging for research and publication in various international, national and state level seminars, conferences, workshops, etc. Remedial classes, projects, literary and cultural activities are regularly attracting the students. The teachers are always accessible to students resulting in a fine ambience of knowledge exchange. The faculty members are always procuring help to the needy students. Most of the students are engaged in diversed range of professions including teaching, IT services and other occupations.
